Will the "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for HPC Compute Node" subscription fits on a standard Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL) 6 server ?

Issue

  • On attaching the HPC compute node subscription to a Standard RHEL server it listing as invalid.Below are the different way to observe this

    1)

    In the customer portal it still says **system is not properly subscribed** on [Units](https://access.redhat.com      /management/consumers/) page under subscriptions tab.
    

    2)

    # subscription-manager facts --list | grep valid
    system.entitlements_valid: invalid
    

    3)
    No base channel seen even after attaching the subscription

    # yum repolist all
    Loaded plugins: product-id, security, subscription-manager
    This system is receiving updates from Red Hat Subscription Management.
