Issue

  • IcedTea-Web Plugin throws NullPointerException on metahod JSObject.getMember().
  • HTML-page containing an applet and javascript.
  • Using LiveConnect to read javascript variable values from within the applet.
  • It is expect that JSObject.getMember either returns null or throws a JSException, but a NullPointerException indicates flaws in the code rather than a controlled error handling.
