Why does fence_rhev fail a few times before succeeding?

Issue

  • I am using fence_rhevm in my cluster. Fence events always fail a few times before succeeding:
    Feb 12 09:54:34 fenced fencing node node-2
    Feb 12 09:54:39 fenced fence node-2 dev 0.0 agent fence_rhevm result: error from agent
    Feb 12 09:54:39 fenced fence node-2 failed
    Feb 12 09:54:42 fenced fencing node wmqdv6-2
    Feb 12 09:54:45 fenced fence node-2 dev 0.0 agent fence_rhevm result: error from agent
    Feb 12 09:54:45 fenced fence node-2 failed
    Feb 12 09:54:48 fenced fencing node wmqdv6-2
    Feb 12 09:54:52 fenced fence node-2 success
  • My manual fence_rhevm commands fail with the following error:
Operation timed out after 3 seconds with 0 bytes received
Connection timed out
