Why network configuration fails after upgrading iproute to 2.6.32-31 version in RHEL 6 ?
Issue
- Unable to manage network interfaces after updating
iproutepackage to2.6.32-31version. - After installing
iproute-2.6.32-31interface is not coming up:
# ip link set up dev eth0
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not supported

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5
