Serial console logs missing for kdump kernel on JUMPtec Computer On Module systems
Issue
- On a system with only serial console access, appending
console=ttyS0,115200n8toKDUMP_COMMANDLINE_APPEND=in/etc/sysconfig/kdumpdoes not emit kdump kernel logs to serial console. - The primary kernel logs are reported as expected on the serial console with
console=ttyS0,115200defined in/proc/cmdline. - The kdump is failing to dump the vmcore & it is challenging to investigate because console output disappears immediately after the primary kernel panic.
