OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) Multus Clusters with Pod Stuck in "ContainerCreating" Phase - "operation with the Given Volume ID already exists/multi-attach" Errors

Issue

  • Pods w/ODF PVCs are not able to advance beyond the ContainerCreating phase due to the FailedMount condition.
  • ODF StorageCluster is provisioned using a Multus configuration instead of OVN.
  • Multus misconfiguration.
  • ODF cluster likely executed the OpenShift Data Foundation - Disabling Multus "holder" pods solution before or during the ODF v4.18 upgrade.
