Installing and deploying applications on RHEL-based Jetpack software for NVIDIA devices

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

You want to install NVIDIA Jetpack for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Installing NVIDIA Jetpack for RHEL

NVIDIA Jetpack for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is delivered as a bootable container (bootc) image. Because this image inherently runs in image mode from the start, the deployment follows a streamlined Install OS > Install / Upgrade App flow. To deploy the image, perform a base installation, build and push a sample application layer, and safely upgrade the system.

Installation

Select one of the following three installation methods based on your deployment strategy:

  • Installing NVIDIA Jetpack by using a Kickstart ISO image
  • Installing NVIDIA Jetpack by using a bootc installation
  • Installing NVIDIA Jetpack by creating a Jetson for RHEL ISO image with bootc-image-builder

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.8 (General availability)
  • NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™
  • NVIDIA IGX Orin®
  • iGPU
