JGroups cluster uses incorrect IP address in RHBK 26.2

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • When configuring a JGroups cluster for RHBK, a different IP address is used for communication than the one specified.
  • The server log shows a warning message like WARN [org.jgroups.protocols.pbcast.GMS] (main) <Node 2>: JOIN(<Node 2>) sent to <Node 1> timed out (after 2000 ms).
  • Checking network connections with the ss command reveals that the Keycloak process is bound to an unexpected IP address, not the one intended for the cluster.

Environment

  • Red Hat build of Keycloak (RHBK) 26.2
