After extending the LVM-based swap volume, the RHEL 10 cannot be booted

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When using solution 17950 to extend the LVM-based swap volume, after executing swapon command and editing the /etc/fstab, the swap can be enabled but the server cannot be booted if reboot the server(even though changes the UUID in the /etc/fstab). The console shows this in some situations:

    [ ***] Job dev-disk-by\x2duuid -xxxxxx......xxxxxx.device/start running (1min 15s / no limit)

Note: the "xxxxxx......xxxxxx" is the old UUID of the swap.
