Issue
How do I install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 for ARM 64 on platforms that are based on the NVIDIA Grace CPU?
Resolution
Support for NVIDIA Grace-based platforms was introduced in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 for ARM 64 via errata kernel version 5.14.0-284.30.1.el9_2. There are a number of workarounds required to perform a fresh install of RHEL 9.2 GA and this (or newer) 9.2 errata kernel, and NVIDIA has provided detailed instructions on their website that explain the process: https://docs.nvidia.com/grace/index.html. Please follow the link above, then click on the link for "NVIDIA Grace Software with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9" document for more information.
Users may also choose to install RHEL 9.3 for ARM 64 or newer update releases of RHEL 9 for ARM 64 with no workarounds or errata kernels required.
Red Hat introduced support for an optional, additional 64k page size kernel in RHEL 9.2 for ARM 64. This Red Hat knowledgebase article provides users with NVIDIA's recommendations on when to use the original 4k page size kernel and when to use the optional 64k page size kernel.
