Suppress warnings for truly Empty Files in Vector’s File Source

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When using the file source in Vector, warnings are shown for files that are too small to track. This is meant to help catch files that might be missed during log collection. However, it also shows warnings for completely empty files (zero bytes), which aren’t useful and can clutter the logs, making it harder to spot important messages.
