`satellite-change-hostname` fails with `You are currently using custom certificates but not all custom certificate arguments are present. To change the hostname, you need to provide certificates with the new hostname.` error

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Need to rename the Satellite 6.16 server instance that has been migrated from RHEL8 to RHEL9 via backup/restore, and having problem with certificate when trying to change the hostname:

    # satellite-change-hostname old-satellite -u My_Username --password 'My_Password' -y
You are currently using custom certificates but not all custom certificate arguments are present. To change the hostname, you need to provide certificates with the new hostname. Please review the custom certificate arguments required with --help.
