Issue

  • Issue while adding RHEL 8 IPA replica server to RHEL 7 IPA environment.

  • Below error message returns:

    [root@ipa2-rhel8 ~]# ipa-replica-install
This version of IPA does not support the Domain Level which is currently set for this domain. The Domain Level needs to be raised before installing a replica with this version is allowed to be installed within this domain.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
  • Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) / FreeIPA
