"Namespace OSTree not available" error while running dnf install in toolbox

Issue

  • While trying to install packages with dnf install inside a toolbox container (or any other container using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Support Tools image) on a RHCOS (Red Hat CoreOS) host, packages are not installed because of the Namespace OSTree not available error.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

    • 4.13 and higher

  • It may potentially impact also RHEL for edge hosts, but it has not been confirmed yet.
