  • The number of available connections is significantly less than the descriptors set by nsslapd-maxdescriptors.

    [root@rhel9-ds ~]# dsconf rhds12 config get 
    :
    nsslapd-maxdescriptors: 14000
    :
    
    [root@rhel9-ds ~]# dsconf rhds12 monitor server 
    :
    currentconnections: 12299
    :
    
  • If no more connections can be made, the following error was seen in the Directory Server.

    ERR - accept_thread - Not listening for new connections - too many fds open
