A switch connected to a RHEL machine reports something similar to "Received ARP RESPONSE collision from $ip_address"
Issue
The message is typical of Cisco devices, but something similar might be recorded by other devices.
There is usually no impact, only the recurrence of the messages
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux machine (any version)
- several separate interfaces connected to the same switch.
Note: two interfaces part of the same bond do not fall into the above category, two separate bonding devices however do.
