Why are virtual interfaces created on top of the VM interface not getting network connectivity in OpenShift Virtualization?
Issue
- In OpenShift Virtualization, the VM interface is created on a Linux bridge. From the VM, a custom Windows software created a virtual interface with parent as the VM interface. The virtual interface have a different MAC address to that of VM interface MAC. This interface is unable to communicate with the network when configured with an IP address. The parent interface communication is working.
Environment
- OpenShift Container Platform 4.x.
- OpenShift Virtualization 4.x.
