Issue

  • On systems configured in BIOS mode, updating Grub from grub2-2.02-162.el8_10 to grub2-2.02-165.el8_10 leads to next boot to fall into grub rescue> prompt

    error: file 'grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found
    Entering rescue mode. . .
    grub rescue>
    

    The error message "normal.mod not found" may show up or not, depending on when Grub failed.
