OpenSSL error when accessing internal inference endpoint

Issue

When attempting to curl the internal inference endpoint for a Model, you receive an OpenSSL error message similar to these

curl: (35) OpenSSL SSL_connect: Connection reset by peer in connection to model.ds-project.svc.cluster.local:443
curl: (35) OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to model.ds-project.svc.cluster.local:443
