Unable to do podman pull while quay.io status intermittent

Issue

  • During a minor upgrade, the following error message was observed:
DEBU[0021] Error pulling image ref //registry.redhat.io/rhosp-rhel8/openstack-cron:16.1: Error writing blob: error storing blob to file "/var/tmp/storage269821493/2": unexpected EOF

ERRO[0021] error pulling image "registry.redhat.io/rhosp-rhel8/openstack-cron:16.1": unable to pull registry.redhat.io/rhosp-rhel8/openstack-cron:16.1: unable to pull image: Error writing blob: error storing blob to file "/var/tmp/storage269821493/2": unexpected EOF
  • Checking the network and was still able to connect to https://registry.redhat.io
