coreos-installer fails to write ignition and images to the disk

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The RHCOS nodes being used to install a cluster in a UPI environment fail to write ignition and images to disk via the coreos-installer install command line.
  • The ignition files can be manually fetched from the node and have a valid certificate as well.
  • The coreos-installer install command fails while fetching images and gets redirected to builds.coreos.fedoraproject.org.
