"ELY23020: Invalid token claim value" when only a single role is mapped by OIDC auth server

Issue

  • Getting the following only when the user has a single role when using elytron-http-oidc client or elytron-oidc-client:

     java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: ELY23020: Invalid token claim value
    at org.wildfly.security.elytron-http-oidc@2.2.4.SP01-redhat-00001//org.wildfly.security.http.oidc.JsonWebToken.getStringListClaimValue(JsonWebToken.java:261)
    at org.wildfly.security.elytron-http-oidc@2.2.4.SP01-redhat-00001//org.wildfly.security.http.oidc.AccessToken.getRolesClaim(AccessToken.java:116)
