User login failing with error "Failed to open config file /etc/security/example.conf" after patching

Issue

  • Not able to login to server with below errors in /var/log/secure
Oct 19 16:13:43 hostname systemd[3259]: pam_namespace(systemd-user:session): Error opening config file /etc/security/namespace.conf
Oct 19 16:01:55 hostname sshd[3344]: pam_sepermit(sshd:account): Failed to open config file /etc/security/sepermit.conf: No such file or directory
Oct 19 16:13:43 hostname login[2956]: pam_console(login:session): cannot open file /etc/security/console.handlers for reading
