Volumesnapshot created by OADP getting deleted by OpenShift GitOps during backup process
Issue
- OpenShift GitOps/
ArgoCDmay reconcile/pruneVolumeSnapshotresources during the backup procedure, causing the backup to fail. This is related to the fact thatPersistentVolumes, managed byArgoCDhave a label applied to identify them as being managed byArgoCD. This label is inherited byVolumeSnapshotfor restore purpose but is causingArgoCDto prune it during the backup procedure because it's not expected to be there. That way, backups are not working respectively failing unexpected. -
OADP backup failing because of snapshot creation is failing respectively the snapshot created has gone missing and reporting the below error.
