Why does /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/online file is missing?
Issue
- The the CPU0's hotplug file is missing after updating the system to RHEL 9.4
# ls -l /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/online
ls: cannot access /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/online: No such file or directory
# chcpu -e 0
chcpu: CPU 0 is not hot pluggable
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux >= 9.4
- Intel CPU
