Oracle RAC fences the node due to incorrect cfs throttling within the cgroup

Issue

  1. Server reboots due to RAC fencing event along with out of memory events in cgroup oratfagroup.
  2. Load average is high and server is rebooted by RAC.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Oracle RAC cluster
  • Systems with Oracle's Trace File Analyzer (TFA) installed/enabled.
