Do Linux kernel's Control Groups (cgroups) feature support CPU hot adding on Virtual Machines ?
Issue
- Do Linux kernel's Control Groups (cgroups) feature support CPU hot adding on Virtual Machines like vmware ?
- Will it recognize added CPU as an available resource and hence can make it available for controlled processes ? Or
- I do need to reboot the system?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
- Vmware ESxi host
- Cgroup version 1 with systemd
