Evolution - Composer: Cursor jumps over characters when using "backspace" or "delete" keys

When trying to delete the typed text in Evolution email composer, the cursor jumps the last characters when
BackspaceorDeleteare pressed on the keyboard. -
The last character typed is skipped and the second to last is deleted.
