logger command on RHEL8 is putting in the logger PID by default in logs logged by rsyslog.
Issue
- In
RHEL7, we will not see the logger PID unless you add in the '-i' option.
# logger -i test123
- But in
RHEL8we always see the PID in logs logged by rsyslog.
