Why does autofs negative cache is not updated for included maps?

Issue

• while accessing shares configured in included maps, negative cache is not honoured.

# cat /etc/auto.master
/net    -hosts
/test   auto.direct

# cat /etc/auto.direct
+auto.include

# cat /etc/auto.include 
datastore  10.65.209.204:/datastore
nfs    10.65.209.204:/nfs

• Testing a failed lookup.

# ls -l /test/no
# ls -l /test/no

• checking syslog

# less /var/log/messages
