Issue

  • Provisioning over 50 overcloud nodes at once failed with the following messages.
During sync_power_state, max retries exceeded for node XXX, node state None does not match expected state 'power off'. Updating DB state to 'None' Switching node to maintenance mode. Error: IPMI call failed: power status.

Timeout reached while waiting for callback for node XXXX
  • All nodes are the same hardware, all nodes are accessible via IPMI, and all nodes successed the introspection but provisioning for only some nodes failed.
