I/O errors on NFS mount

Issue

Server is used in a SAS grid implementation.
Users are reporting I/O errors while running SAS jobs.
The shared filesystems are NFS mounts from Nutanix Files.
We observe nfs4_reclaim_open_state: Lock reclaim failed! messages in /var/log/messages. We also sometimes get kernel hung task messages at the same time, e.g. INFO: task process:27273 blocked for more than 120 seconds.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.9
  • NFS server Nutanix
  • NFS server NFS-Ganesha
  • NFS share with Kerberos encryption (krb5p)
