OpenShift GitOps not showing diff or out of sync after adding additional settings to live manifest on OpenShift Container Platform 4

Issue

• When adding an environment variable to a Deployment while no environment variables are specified in the manifest stored in git, ArgoCD is failing to show the diff added or report Out of Sync state.
• GitOps is not showing the application with Out of Sync when manually editing the live manifest.
