Rhel7 kernel updates panic on reboot

Hello,

I have always had issues with rhel7 kernel updates causing a kernel panic on reboot. Not everytime but enough to be painful. Yum update has no errors. There is never any obvious issue, i.e disk space, etc. The fix for me is to boot to previous kernel, remove new kernel, reinstall new kernel then reboot.

Has anyone experienced this and found a way to prevent it?
