user crontab PAM ERROR (permission denied)

Issue

  • A user cannot view or modify the crontab.
  • Access will generate PAM ERROR (Permission denied).

  • Example for a postgres user, but could occur with any user :

[postgres@host ~]$ crontab -l
You (postgres) are not allowed to access to (crontab) because of pam configuration.
