Issue

  • Satellite server is trying to register to itself:

    # subscription-manager register
Registering to: satellite.example.com:443/rhsm
Username: example-user
Password: ********
Network error, unable to connect to server. Please see /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log for more information.

  • In /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf on the Satellite server:

    hostname = subscription.rhsm.redhat.com
