Issue

  • Setting net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1 in a configuration file e.g. /etc/sysctl.conf and reloading configuration with sysctl -p does not enable IP forwarding
  • net.ipv4.ip_forward is not set to the value specified in /etc/sysctl.conf
  • net.ipv4.conf.all.forwarding is not set to the value specified in /etc/sysctl.conf
  • net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding is not set to the value specified in /etc/sysctl.conf
