• Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA)

Issue

• How can cluster-wide Prometheus alerting rules be created on a ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS) cluster?
• When creating a PrometheusRule in a namespace, the alert is restricted to this namespace, why is that so?

Resolution

• At the moment, it is not possible for users to create platform- / cluster-wide alerting rules that are then forwarded to the user workload monitoring.
• Red Hat is aware of this request and is tracking the resolution in the following RFE: RFE-4667
