How do I specify the pulp user id (uid) or the pulp group id (gid) on a fresh install of Private Automation Hub?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

Need to specify the pulp user id(uid) or the pulp group id(gid) on a new installation of Ansible Private Automation Hub.

Example motivations for having to specify a specific uid and gid for the pulp user:

  • For corporate policy reasons, the pulp account needs a UID or GID in a range other than the default 900-999.
  • In clustered Private Automation Hub deployments, the pulp filesystem in a NFS share needs consistent UIDs and GIDs among all cluster nodes.
