Issue

  • Repetitive occurrence of following error message in server kernel logs and /var/log/messages file:
kernel: sfc 0000:5e:00.0: Periodic DMA statistics are not updating. Restarting periodic collection.
kernel: sfc 0000:d8:00.1: Periodic DMA statistics are not updating. Restarting periodic collection.
kernel: sfc 0000:d8:00.1: Periodic DMA statistics are not updating. Restarting periodic collection.
  • Can we apply ethtool -C stats-block-usecs 1000000 command to avoid the Periodic DMA statistics are not updating message filling logs once every second?
