xguest removed from RedHat 8.6 repositories

Hi,

I've searched for any information about xguest on the community posts but I've found nothing related to it. Maybe someone here can help me.

I'm migrating a server from version 7.9 to version 8.6. This server uses xguest to use it as a kiosk with access only to a Firefox browser that uses a squid whitelist to surf only authorized internet sites.

The problem is that xguest is not available on version 8.6 and I can't find any information about why it has been removed from the available packages. Is there any incompatibility with versions above 7.x ?

I've tried to install directly the rpm available for EL7, but as expected, I cannot log in with xguest user.

Has anyone any information about why xguest has been removed, and what alternatives do I have to migrate this functionality?
