rpm-ostree pivot failing on "error: The connection is closed : exit status 1"

Issue

  • When applying an RHOCP update, the node failed to reach quay.io with the error :

    error running rpm-ostree rebase --experimental /run/mco-machine-os-content/os-content-####/srv/repo:<RENDERED_VALUE> --custom-origin-url pivot://quay.io/openshift-release-dev/ocp-v4.0-art-dev@sha256:<SHA256_string> --custom-origin-description Managed by machine-config-operator: error: The connection is closed
: exit status 1
