Why all the cpu's are not coming online when system is booted with maxcpus=1 on system with Intel CPU
Issue
- When the system is booted with
maxcpus=1all the CPU does not come online on a system with Intel CPUs.
# lscpu|grep ^O
On-line CPU(s) list: 0,23,55
Off-line CPU(s) list: 1-22,24-54
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
- Intel CPUs
