The LVM-activate resource fails to start or unfence operation fails when the physical volumes are presented via iSCSI

Issue

  • The ocf:heartbeat:LVM-activate resource fails to start, however it gets started when a cleanup of resource is performed after sometime.
  • The unfence operation fails if the cluster is configured with iSCSI shared storage devices.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (with the High Availability Add-on)
  • iSCSI device used under Pacemaker cluster
  • resource-agents-4.1.1-68.el8_3.2.x86_64.rpm or earlier
