Cloned VM created from a UEFI source VM is not booting in OpenShift Virtualization

Issue

  • The cloned VM is not booting after cloning it from a UEFI bootloader VM.
  • The VM is showing an inaccessible boot device error. For Windows VM, the error is Boot from Hard Disk... No bootable device.

Environment

  • OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.12.
  • OpenShift Virtualization 4.12.
