udevd-work error messages: No such file or directory in RHEL 6 & 7

Issue

  • Observing following error messages logged at system boot time:

    udevd-work[54939]: error opening ATTR{/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/host13/target13:0:0/13:0:0:0/bsg/13:0:0:0/queue/rq_affinity} for writing: No such file or directory
    udevd-work[54940]: error opening ATTR{/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/host13/target13:0:0/13:0:0:0/scsi_generic/sg137/queue/rq_affinity} for writing: No such file or directory
    udevd-work[54941]: error opening ATTR{/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/host13/target13:0:0/13:0:0:0/scsi_device/13:0:0:0/queue/rq_affinity} for writing: No such file or directory
    udevd-work[54942]: error opening ATTR{/sys/devices/virtual/bdi/11:0/queue/rq_affinity} for writing: No such file or directory
