Volume sizes on the Storage domain are not extended for Disk's with Incremental Backup enabled when extended from RHV-M UI.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Virtual Machine (VM) disks with Incremental Backup enabled are created as PREALLOCATED COW format.

  • When the VM Disk is extended from RHV-M UI, the volume size is not extended on the storage domain.

  • VM's with PREALLOCATED COW (thin provision) format may pause if those disks require new disk extensions.

  • The rhv-image-discrepancies tool also such images as problems.
