Resolution

  • The news came from isc.org, not Red Hat.
  • As bind version 9.11.4 is provided in RHEL7, it will remain supported as long as RHEL7 is supported.
  • Furthermore, in RHEL8 we can see that bind version 9.11.26 is provided. Find here the Lifecycle of RHEL.
  • Based on that, we can say that bind 9.11 is still supported by Red Hat in the near future.
