While running 'insights-client --collector malware-detection' command getting SSL CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED error.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Currently, updated a satellite server with a self-signed certificate, it shows an SSL CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED when tried to test insights malware detection feature.
  • The Insights malware-detection is failing with the following error:

    Unable to download rules from https:/test.satellite.com:443/redhat_access/r/insights/platform/malware-detection/v1/test-rule.yar: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='test.satellite.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /redhat_access/r/insights/platform/malware-detection/v1/test-rule.yar (Caused by SSLError(SSLError(1, '[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:897)'),))
