System drops to dracut shell after disabling dm-multipath.
Issue
- System with SAN boot has two multipath software products(Dm-miltipath and Hitachi HDLM) installed, when dm-multipath is disabled, the system drops to dracut shell with the following errors:
Could not boot
warning: /dev/mapper/rhel00-root does not exist
warning: /dev/rhel00/root does not exist
warning: /dev/rhel00/swap does not exist
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (with SAN boot)
- Dm-multipath
- Hitachi HDLM
- LVM2
